Recipe: Calzone

If you have a great recipe and technique for homemade pizza dough, please share it! When I make Calzone, I use store bought pizza dough to make this recipe EASY! I roll it out to the size and shape of a full-sized cookie sheet.

Saute onions, peppers and minced garlic for just a few minutes to soften a tiny bit. Anything goes for filling! I used mixed color peppers, red onion, pepperoni, fresh basil and shredded mozzarella cheese.

Fold top crust over, pinch any seams closed, pastry brush a little egg white or butter and sprinkle with sesame seeds. Bake at 375 degrees until the crust is your desired level of crispiness.

Be patient and let it sit for a few minutes before slicing in to serving size pieces.
