Princeton Business Association is Just Getting Started

Barn Princeton

Thank you to everyone who joined us for the Princeton Business Association kick-off meeting on March 18! It was wonderful to see so many local business owners come together with shared enthusiasm for building a stronger, more connected business community here in Princeton, and we’re working to bring even more Princeton businesses into the mix.

If you’re a Princeton business owner and you missed the first meeting, that’s ok, we’re just getting started! Here’s a quick recap of what we discussed:

  • The purpose of forming the Princeton Business Association — to create a platform for collaboration, mutual support, and collective advocacy for small businesses in our town.
  • Ideas around networking, group marketing initiatives, and the potential to organize community events that draw people into town and capitalize on existing ecotourism.
  • Early conversations about ways the Association could serve as a voice for local businesses with the town government and other stakeholders.
  • Tangible marketing opportunities such as: wayfinding signs around town, trailhead maps of Princeton businesses, Princeton Business website, etc.

We’re excited to keep the momentum going and invite you to our next meeting at The Barn Princeton on Tuesday, April 15 at 7pm. The plan is to start shaping a concrete list of goals and initiatives the Association can focus on this year.

Ahead of the meeting, we’d love for you to think about:

  • What challenges are you facing as a local business owner in Princeton?
  • What kinds of support or resources would make the biggest impact for your business?
  • What events, marketing ideas, or collaborations would you like to see happen in town?
  • How can this Association help strengthen Princeton’s small business community as a whole?
  • What initiatives, events, or marketing strategies can the Association spearhead to support service-based businesses that don’t have a brick-and-mortar location?

Your input is invaluable as we set our direction. If you couldn’t make the first meeting but want to be involved, please don’t hesitate to reach out and please share this email with any Princeton business owners in your network!

Looking forward to working together to make Princeton an even better place to do business!

Warmly,

Gabi Bennett (Owner, The Barn Princeton)

Jen Shenk (Keller Williams Realty)
