Local Business Review: Airport Plus Airport Transportation and more

I first connected with Brian and Colleen Degrace of Airport Plus in the year 1999. Where the rest of the world was worried about Y2K, I had a real problem on my hands. My husband had a brain tumor and was not allowed to drive for 6 months. Great news was that he survived the brain tumor, and is still here 25 years later. But, when you have five children and a husband who can go to work, but not drive there, you need to get creative. He was flying to work in New York at least three times a month, and it wasn’t reasonable to think that I could manage the children and be an airport chauffeur.

Brian and Colleen were amazing! The communication is spotless, they always seem to be able to make crazy flight schedules work, and their vehicles are all clean and well maintained. I love that. I had nothing to worry about – – other than the five children and the husband recovering from the brain tumor. We relied heavily on Airport Plus for Jay’s business travel over the next 10 years.

After 9/11, Jay’s travel changed considerably, and we weren’t coordinating schedules every week with Airport Plus. However, the service level was so impressive, that anytime we’ve had personal travel, they are who we go to. If you know me, you know that I stay home, but our six kids are all over the world, and we love knowing that when our youngest daughter is coming in on an international flight at 10 PM, Brian and Colleen have our backs. We can be waiting comfortably at home, without having to deal with traffic or parking or finding our young traveler.

Our youngest daughter Erin finally got to fulfill her dream of visiting her sister in New Zealand in January 2024. She waited forever to be old enough to fly unaccompanied (Air New Zealand does not allow for unaccompanied minors), and when she turned 18, we were stuck in Covid. Look at her in this photo above, kind of terrifying. This is the upside-down selfie cam from her bungee jump off of a bridge in New Zealand. No, thank you, but it was something she wanted to do. Her return flight landed at Logan during rush hour. No worries on us, Brian picked her up at the airport and delivered her safely to us. If I add up the incalculable stress of driving in a snowstorm at night to Logan, and wear and tear on my vehicle, it’s a no-brainer that we would always hire Airport Plus for airport transport.
