Westminster’s Neighbors Helping Neighbors Town Benefit Day is coming up on Sunday, August 9, and it’s always one of my favorite days of the year! You do not need to live in Westminster to participate. All proceeds from this annual event go to the Westminster Benefit Fund, which is a non-profit with the sole purpose to help Westminster residents in crisis situations beyond their control. I can’t write the story of the day better than the hardworking group that works year round on it~~so here’s what they posted on the Neighbors Helping Neighbors Facebook page. We’re back for the 39th (eeep!) year in a row with all your tried-and-true favorites, and a few fresh surprises because we’re traditional but also creative! Same incredible friends, neighbors, same mission, same “wow, this town really shows up” energy.
And because subtlety is overrated… 
there may be some limited edition, borderline iconic, super patriotic tie-dyes for America’s 250th. No promises. But also…probably promises

Mailers going out… repeatedly… aggressively… lovingly 
A steady stream of posts until you get a little tired of us in your newsfeed 
Neighbors Helping Neighbors exists because of YOU. Donations, volunteers, showing up, spreading the word… that’s the whole engine. Over the years, (ALMOST 40 of them omg) this event has helped hundreds of local families when they needed it most, and that doesn’t happen by accident.
So if you’re local and even thinking about getting involved – you won’t regret it

Over the Top Auction (items $100+)
Gift certificates, handmade items, sporting or concert tickets, cool new stuff — we’ll take it! 
Donations can be dropped off at the Westminster Police Station or we’ll pick them up — just call or text one of us
