I stopped in at Victoria Coffee this morning to check out their new location and to sample a decaf tea and a pizzelle on my way to a listing appointment. Parking near their storefront at 24 Main Street in Gardner was easy, and the location in general was very easy to find.

Victoria Coffee recently relocated from a long-term temporary location in Westminster, is now operating in the former location of The Velvet Goose. Victoria Coffee owners Colby Chrusciel and Josh Gikis had been looking for a permanent home for their very popular brews. While waiting for a specific location to be ready, they toured the new location with Patti Bergstrom, owner of The Velvet Goose, and took a chance on the opportunity to make 24 Main Street the new home of Victoria Coffee.

Speaking of the location, which before that (since 1907!) was Goodnow Pearson’s. If you’re from the area and you’re 50+, you remember the iconic 3-story department store with a monkey named Jocko. If you’ve never heard of the Goodnow Pearson’s monkey, and you’re hearing it here first, it’s true.
