I don’t want to brag, but I was at SkyBlast, an amazing night of fireworks (in July 1982–I was 12) at the Worcester Airport. This was an INCREDIBLE display, set to music, something I had never imagined, having only seen Baldwinville fireworks before that!
For the first ten years of my life, we’d watch the display of fireworks while sitting in my aunt’s back yard on Fisher Street in Baldwinville. They were set off five streets over at the Little League field. I don’t know how town budgets worked then, but it seems awfully extravagant to have each small town set off their own display. Now, the official displays are more regionalized. Here’s a list I put together of any displays local to us, and because there just aren’t a lot, I branched out to other areas. At the bottom of the story there are links to the other New England states. Did I miss any? Send me a note, and I’ll add them in!
