I wasn’t intending to write this review, but while out for dinner at Logan’s Table in Leominster last night, I said this is the best pizza I’ve ever had and then when I got home, and my son asked where I had been I handed him the box and said here–try this–it’s the best pizza I’ve ever had. Then I realized I said it twice, and I meant it, so here we are.
I was meeting up with a friend I hadn’t seen in years. We decided to get a very late lunch, very early dinner, and like the good old people we are, we met at Logan‘s Table in Leominster at 4:30PM on a Wednesday because that’s what worked for us. When we got there, we had the place to ourselves, and in no time all the tables were filled. We saw a few people we knew from Westminster, and started a long conversation of getting caught up. She and I raised our kids in Westminster before social media, where almost every morning after the kids got on the bus we would get on the phone and both work on cleaning our houses while we chatted about who knows what.
It was so nice catching up now that all of our kids are grown and we even had grandchildren to talk about. Where did the time go?

Back to the topic at hand. Our server was my favorite kind – – always attentive, and not trying to make it a table for three. My friend ordered corn chowder and BBQ chicken pizza, and I ordered a dinner size salad, and gluten-free piccata pizza (white garlic sauce, grilled chicken, capers, mozzarella and shaved parmesan). My salad was wonderfully fresh, and the homemade ranch dressing inspired me to go home and figure out how to make that dressing myself.
I would never have thought to put capers on pizza, but it was calling me from the menu as if it was written in capital letters. The presentation included a big piece of lemon on the top to squeeze over the XL Parmesan shavings and alfredo sauce. There was nowhere near as much thick alfredo sauce as I would’ve had on a pasta version of chicken picatta, plus with my choice of gluten-free crust, I felt like I was making a healthy eating choice. I also enjoyed a grapefruit rose mocktail.
Just to be on the safe side of recommending this as the best pizza I’ve ever had, I ate the second half of it for breakfast, and even cold, it was truly delicious. Highly recommend.
