Have you ever watched your local community access TV channel? They’re pretty cool, with very local programming, and the ability to watch town government meetings and general interest community news from the comfort of your home. Some things can be viewed livestream, and many shows are on-demand.
Jay and I volunteered on a local show back in about 2008. It was called Your Voice with Keith Harding. You can still watch many of his episodes. Our daughter Jane was interviewed by Keith on one episode. Based on the timeframe, I believe she was in college, and her interview was about her experiences with Outward Bound – – both as a student and an instructor. I couldn’t find it on the Ashburnham Westminster Community Media on-demand search, but it goes back a few decades, so that makes sense. I think I have it around here somewhere on a DVD, although I don’t think I have a player for that media any longer. Technology changes pretty quickly!
